Fengxian New City, Shanghai: 12 projects, 8.126 billion RMB investment, accelerating high-quality development

On June 9, Shanghai Fengxian District held the groundbreaking ceremony for the centralized start of construction of 2023 Fengxian New City projects. The projects that commenced construction this time totaled 12, with a total investment reaching 8.126 billion RMB covering municipal supporting facilities such as urban functions, roads and landscaping, as well as strategic emerging industry projects such as biopharmaceuticals and new energy.

Among them, there are 3 industrial investment projects. The Mengyang Pharmaceutical Group Headquarters and Innovative Drug R&D and Production Base Construction Project will be committed to the innovative drug business and building an intelligent integrated plant; the Titan Technology Life Science Headquarters Park Project will focus on R&D in areas such as biopharmaceuticals, new materials, and wellness, and build a comprehensive bonded life science industrial base led by life sciences; Shanghai Jinglong Photoelectric Technology Co.,Ltd Additional Intelligent Operations Center and New Expansion and Reconstruction Project will achieve annual output value and annual import and export volume of 10 billion yuan each, contributing to the national "dual carbon" goals.

The centralized commencement of these projects will further promote the high-quality development of Fengxian New City with "integrated industries and cities, and livability", focusing on developing the four emerging industries of beauty & health, new energy auto parts, digital intelligence, and chemical new materials, and inject new momentum into the development of the New City.

The groundbreaking ceremony also covered municipal supporting roads, river regulation projects and landscaping projects to strengthen infrastructure construction and ecological environment building in Fengxian New City.
